*BREATH OF LIFE*

*Text: Ezekiel 37:1-10*

*Key Verse:* _“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul”._ – _*Genesis 2:7*_

Breath is so fundamental to our existence; a basic part of life without which we cannot live. Would it be any different in the Spirit? Even a whisper requires a breath. Genesis 2:7 _“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul”._ Since the fall of man, the human spirit has gasped for breath of life - unconscious until man’s conscience could not operate properly. The Spirit of God is the breath of God (John 20:22).

Just as Adam was a new creature when God breathed life into him, but became old due to sin, we become new creatures when we receive the Spirit of God. The breath transforms from being lifeless (alienated from the life of God) to being fully conformed to the God-life.

The Bible speaks of Spirit-filled Christians as new creatures in 2 Cor. 5:17. The breath comes as the Spirit and gives us enabling capacity to walk in supernatural gifts such as what happened to the disciples in Acts 2:1-4.

It is important to know that when we receive this breath of life, it can give life to every dying situation in our life.

*PRAYER POINT:*

Lord, breathe on me the breath of life.

*BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* _*1 Samuel 19, 1 Samuel 20, John 17:6-26, Psalm 68:7-14*_
